It's a privilege to head a school and a delight to head from the beginning and surely this delight is trebled with the school entering in its third academic session with great amount of satisfaction, confidence and faith of parents, students and patrons. This has been possible by just a simple belief in attempting to give the best a student deserves at school with a dynamic dimension to the way curriculum is treated in class.
In my opinion -children are living beings - more living than grown-up people who have built shells of habit around themselves. Hence, compulsorily for the right kind of the growth of their mental make up and over all development that they should not have mere schools for their lessons to be transacted, but a whole world in miniature at schools whose guiding spirit is to be personal love. And then only there will be possibilities of establishing an effective connect with the students which we at Edify have been able to achieve so beautifully.
Edify School is an attempt in this direction which has revolutionized the concept of schooling which is not merely confined to transaction of syllabus but a place where students love to visit every day looking forward to continue the lessons. At Edify, we have modeled our pedagogies in such a fashion that no student is left out with any input which is required for him/her to hone his/her latent talent. Shiv Khera famously said, "Winners do not do different things, they do things differently". However, we beg to differ a bit. We not only do things already being done by others differently but also believe in doing different things. This is why we have generated a lot of interest in the Orange City and pride ourselves in ushering a world class school education to Nagpur.
It is very necessary that we have the latest state-of-the-art infrastructure in place for us to give that atmosphere that is required. Students should not feel the crunch for any facilities. I assure you they will never, for we have all such facilities on campus and we shall keep on upgrading the available infrastructure and introducing new ones from time to time.
Our prime aim at Edify revolves around how to make the students achieve great heights in both curricular and co-curricular activities. We have charted out ways to gauge the inclination of the students and accordingly provide them with expert training in order to make them well versed in the same. When a student walks out of Edify Nagpur s/he should be able to exude oodles of confidence and should be in a position to take on this big and competitive world with heaps of self-assurance and buoyancy.
But this is not all. What use will be the education without a set of values? I know each parent who wishes to admit the child to our school would surely be concerned as I am over the depleting value system of our society. The blind and illogical aping of the West has taken us nowhere. The inculcation of good human qualities like compassion, respect for elders, sense of truthfulness, caring, etc. have been an integral part of the Indian way of life. But now when India has achieved tremendous progress in economical terms, there is a decline in human values. We have taken up this seemingly onerous task of imparting good values in our students which is inbuilt in the curriculum of the subject/s. Talking about human values is central to secular ethics and should occupy a central place in secular education. The human values are important not because some great people have said it in the past, but in order to lead a harmonious life – a happy life. I firmly believe that no education can succeed without these human values.
Having written about almost all aspects of molding every young mind I stress upon the fact that our country needs thinking brains, innovators and entrepreneurs who are equipped to take the world head on and script their own success stories particularly when India is poised to become a super power in the years to come. And at Edify we just want to do this and help develop scholars who can and will make a difference their way through our especially designed curriculum to augment OUT OF BOX THINKING.
